once the throttle plates close, recirculating the pressurized air after the turbo, into the intake before the turbo, is only going to cause reversion and cause air to get pushed out through the filter.remember, after the turbo, with the throttle plates open, there is air pressure in the post turbo intake track. once the throttle plates close, the pressure builds in the post turbo intake track (commonly called compressor surge). by bypassing the post turbo intake track, and feeding pressurized air into the pre turbo intake track, you are effectively causing intake reversion, and replacing cold air with 'compressed' hot air. BOVs perform more then just a sound. they allow cold air into the intake system. they allow the turbos to maintain maximum spin between shifts (quicker post shift recovery) they cause a rich condition for about less then a second.
